Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Rolefit, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Rolefit provides a job-search preparation platform including skill assessments, application tracking, behavioral story preparation, and AI-assisted coaching.

You must be at least 16 years old to use Rolefit. By using the service, you represent that you meet this requirement. The service is intended for individual job seekers using it for their own career preparation. Use on behalf of a third party without their knowledge is not permitted.

You sign in via a third-party OAuth provider (Google, GitHub, Microsoft, LinkedIn, or Apple). You are responsible for any activity that occurs under your account. Do not share your session or allow others to use your account.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, misuse the service, or attempt to harm other users or the platform infrastructure.

You may use Rolefit for lawful personal job-search preparation only. You must not:

• Use the service to generate content on behalf of others at scale (e.g. resume mills, candidate impersonation)
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract the underlying question bank, skill taxonomy, or AI prompts
• Upload content that is illegal, defamatory, or infringes third-party rights
• Attempt to probe, attack, or circumvent the security of the platform
• Use automated tools to access the service at a rate that disrupts normal operations

Core features of Rolefit are powered by Claude, an AI model developed by Anthropic. This includes skill assessments, match scores, story evaluations, practice questions, prep schedules, and coaching responses.

AI-generated outputs are informational and for personal preparation use only. They are not professional career advice, and they are not employment decisions. Rolefit makes no guarantee that completing assessments, following a prep schedule, or achieving a match score will result in a job offer.

AI outputs may contain errors or omissions. You are responsible for evaluating and applying any AI-generated content using your own judgement. Do not use Rolefit outputs as the sole basis for any significant decision.

Rolefit does not make hiring decisions. If an employer uses information you independently share from this platform, that is between you and the employer. We are a preparation tool, not a recruitment intermediary.

Content you create — stories, notes, application records, and profile data — belongs to you. By storing it on Rolefit, you grant us a limited licence to process, store, and display it to you as part of the service.

AI-generated outputs (assessments, evaluations, coaching replies, match scores) are generated on your behalf and licensed to you for personal use. You may export and use them in your own job search. You may not resell or redistribute them.

The Rolefit platform, including its question bank, skill taxonomy, scoring algorithms, and interface, is our intellectual property. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of the platform to you.

Rolefit uses third-party services including Anthropic (Claude API), Railway (hosting), PostHog (analytics), and Sentry (error monitoring). Your use of Rolefit is also subject to the terms of these providers where applicable.

We are not responsible for the availability or content of third-party services, including OAuth providers.

Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your data. It forms part of these terms.

If you delete your account, your personal data will be removed within 30 days. Anonymised analytics data (not linked to your identity) may be retained.

We aim to keep Rolefit available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend the service for maintenance, updates, or circumstances outside our control. We will not be liable for losses arising from downtime.

We may change, discontinue, or limit features at any time. Where a material change would affect your use, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rolefit is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to lost job opportunities, reliance on AI-generated assessments, or data loss.

Our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £100 if no amount was paid.

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

For significant changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you before they take effect.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where mandatory local consumer law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
